Refuge


Judges 9:15. The bramble said to the trees, ‘If in truth you anoint me king over you, then come and take refuge in my shade.'

Nahum 1:7. Yahweh is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and he knows those who take refuge in him.

Psalm 17:8.
 Keep me as the apple of your eye. Hide me under the shadow of your wings.

Psalm 25:19-20. Consider my enemies, for they are many. They hate me with cruel hatred. Oh keep my soul, and deliver me. Let me not be disappointed, for I take refuge in you.

Psalm 31:19-20. Oh how great is your goodness, which you have laid up for those who fear you, which you have worked for those who take refuge in you, before the sons of men! In the shelter of your presence you will hide them from the plotting of man. You will keep them secretly in a dwelling away from the strife of tongues.

Psalm 34:7-8. Yahweh’s angel encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them. Oh taste and see that Yahweh is good. Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him.

Psalm 91:4-6. He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart. You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day; nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that wastes at noonday.

Psalm 118:8-9. It is better to take refuge in Yahweh, than to put confidence in man. It is better to take refuge in Yahweh, than to put confidence in princes.

Ruth 2:12. May Yahweh repay your work, and a full reward be given to you from Yahweh, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge.

Zephaniah 3:11-12. “I will take away out from among you your proudly exulting ones, and you will no more be haughty in my holy mountain. But I will leave among you an afflicted and poor people, and they will take refuge in Yahweh’s name.”

2 Samuel 22:3. God is my rock in whom I take refuge; my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge. My savior, you save me from violence.

2 Samuel 22:31. As for God, his way is perfect. Yahweh’s word is tested. He is a shield to all those who take refuge in him.
