Comfort


Acts 9:31. The assemblies throughout all Judea and Galilee and Samaria had peace, and were built up. They were multiplied, walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit.

Isaiah 40:1. “Comfort, comfort my people,” says your God.

Isaiah 42:6-7. “I, Yahweh, have called you in righteousness, and will hold your hand, and will keep you, and make you a covenant for the people, as a light for the nations; to open the blind eyes, to bring the prisoners out of the dungeon, and those who sit in darkness out of the prison.”

Matthew 5:4. Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.

Psalm 23:3-4. He restores my soul. He guides me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me. Your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

Psalm 119:49-50. Remember your word to your servant, because you gave me hope. This is my comfort in my affliction, for your word has revived me.

Psalm 147:3. He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds.

Ruth 2:13. She said, “Let me find favor in your sight, my lord, because you have comforted me, and because you have spoken kindly to your servant, though I am not as one of your servants.”

1 Thessalonians 2:11-12. As you know, we exhorted, comforted, and implored every one of you, as a father does his own children, to the end that you should walk worthily of God, who calls you into his own Kingdom and glory.

1 Thessalonians 5:14. We exhort you, brothers, admonish the disorderly, encourage the faint-hearted, support the weak, be patient toward all.

2 Corinthians 1:3-5. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort; who comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. For as the sufferings of Christ abound to us, even so our comfort also abounds through Christ.

2 Corinthians 13:11.
 Be perfected, be comforted, be of the same mind, live in peace, and the God of love and peace will be with you.
