Revelation 22:1-5 meaning

These verses provide a glimpse into the future state of the new heaven and earth, where God's presence is fully realized, and His people experience eternal blessings and fellowship with Him. • Reigning Forever:

These verses bring the Bible's story back to where it began. In Eden "a river went out of Eden to water the garden," and the tree of life stood "in the middle of the garden" (Genesis 2:9-10), but after the fall God placed cherubim and a flaming sword "to guard the way to the tree of life" (Genesis 3:24). Now the way is open again, and "there will be no curse any more." Ezekiel had seen a river flowing from the temple with trees on its banks whose fruit "shall be for food, and its leaf for healing" (Ezekiel 47:12), and Isaiah promised that "Yahweh will be your everlasting light" (Isaiah 60:19). Most striking of all, Moses was told, "You cannot see my face, for man may not see me and live" (Exodus 33:20), yet here God's servants "will see his face."
