Acts 20:35. Remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’

Deuteronomy 15:11. For the poor will never cease out of the land. Therefore I command you to surely open your hand to your brother, to your needy, and to your poor, in your land.

Deuteronomy 24:14. You shall not oppress a hired servant who is poor and needy, whether he is one of your brothers, or one of the foreigners who are in your land within your gates.

Galatians 6:2. Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.

Job 29:16. I was a father to the needy.

John 13:14-15. If I then, the Lord and the Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. For I have given you an example, that you also should do as I have done to you.

Leviticus 25:35. If your brother has become poor, and his hand can’t support himself among you; then you shall uphold him.

Matthew 20:26-28. Whoever desires to become great among you shall be your servant. Whoever desires to be first among you shall be your bondservant, even as the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.

Psalm 37:21. The wicked borrow, and don’t pay back, but the righteous give generously.

Proverbs 22:9. He who has a generous eye will be blessed; for he shares his food with the poor.
